FALCUS & WOOD
BRIDAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to the purchase of Falcus & Wood bridal gowns and accessories.
By placing an order with Falcus & Wood, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
YOUR ORDER
Falcus & Wood gowns are made to order in standard Falcus & Wood sizes and are not made to measure.
During your appointment, we will take your measurements and recommend the closest Falcus & Wood size based on our size chart. The size ordered will be confirmed with you before your order is placed.
Once your order is confirmed, we may purchase fabrics and materials and allocate production time specifically for your gown.
Your order is confirmed once the gown, size and price have been agreed, these Terms & Conditions have been accepted and the required deposit has been received.
PRICE & PAYMENT
The price of your gown will be confirmed at the time of ordering.
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order and enable Falcus & Wood to begin production.
The remaining 50% balance is due when your gown is complete and ready for collection or dispatch. Your gown will not be dispatched or released for collection until payment has been received in full.
Alterations are not included in the price of your gown.
LEAD TIME
Our usual lead time is approximately 6 months from receipt of your deposit.
This is an estimated timeframe and may vary depending on the style, fabric availability and production schedule.
We will provide an estimated timeframe when your order is placed and will contact you if there is a significant change.
If you have a specific wedding date, please discuss this with us before placing your order so that we can confirm whether we expect to be able to meet your required timeframe.
SIZING & ALTERATIONS
Falcus & Wood gowns are made in standard sizes rather than made to measure.
We will take your measurements and recommend the closest Falcus & Wood size, but the final fit may require alteration.
Alterations are not provided by Falcus & Wood and are not included in the price of your gown.
You are responsible for arranging and paying for alterations directly with your chosen bridal alterations specialist.
We recommend allowing approximately 2–3 months for alterations before your wedding date.
We recommend using an experienced bridal alterations specialist, particularly for gowns involving corsetry, structured construction or delicate fabrics.
CHANGES TO YOUR ORDER
Please check your order details carefully before confirming your purchase.
If you wish to request a change after your order has been placed, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will do our best to accommodate requests, but changes may not be possible once fabrics have been purchased or production has begun.
Where a change is agreed, additional costs may apply. Any additional costs will be confirmed with you before we proceed.
CANCELLATION
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us in writing as soon as possible.
As our gowns are made to order, cancellation may result in costs being incurred by Falcus & Wood, including the cost of materials purchased and work carried out specifically for your order.
Any cancellation and any refund due will be assessed in accordance with your statutory consumer rights, the circumstances of the cancellation and the stage your order has reached.
Where permitted by law, Falcus & Wood may retain an amount from any payment already made to cover reasonable costs and losses actually incurred as a direct result of the cancellation. Any amount retained will be proportionate to those costs and losses.
CHANGES TO YOUR WEDDING DATE
If your wedding date changes after your order has been placed, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will do our best to accommodate your new date, subject to production capacity and the stage your gown has reached.
A change of wedding date does not automatically guarantee that your original delivery timeframe can be maintained.
FABRIC & FINISH
We take care to ensure that our samples and imagery represent our gowns accurately.
However, slight variations in colour, texture, sheen and appearance may occur between samples, photographs and the finished gown, particularly where natural or specialist fabrics are used.
These variations may be a natural characteristic of the fabric and production process.
IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH YOUR GOWN
If you believe your gown is faulty, damaged or does not match what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible.
Please provide details of the issue and photographs where appropriate.
We will assess the issue and work with you to resolve it in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.
Please contact us before arranging any repair or alteration relating to a suspected fault.
DELIVERY & COLLECTION
We will confirm delivery or collection arrangements when your gown is ready.
Any agreed delivery charge will be confirmed before dispatch.
If collection is agreed, we will confirm the collection arrangements with you.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You are responsible for:
checking your order details before confirming your purchase;
providing accurate contact and wedding-date information;
telling us promptly if your wedding date changes;
arranging and paying for your own alterations;
allowing sufficient time for alterations before your wedding; and
following any care instructions supplied with your gown.
12. STATUTORY RIGHTS
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Your legal rights relating to the quality, description and suitability of goods continue to apply.
